Ensure that:
The Quad BRI Framer Module is installed and programmed.
Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling is programmed for each trunk.
The local carrier service can support 64 Kbps data calls.
NOTES
For video conferencing over a BRI interface, the central office (CO) must support 64 Kbps clear channel data calls.
Digital link licenses are not required for embedded BRI links.

To program embedded BRI trunks:
Enter a number (1 through 16) to identify the Link Descriptor.
Select "BRI" in the Integrated Digital Access field.

Enter the number of the Digital Link Descriptor programmed in step 1.
Enter a unique number (1-32) to identify the Trunk Circuit Descriptor.
Select BRI from the Card Type field.
Select Toll Office or Local Office in the Far End Connection field.

For Non-dial in trunks, set the Day, Night1, and Night2 Answer Points
For Dial in Trunks, set the number of digits to absorb in the Incoming Digit Modification-Absorb field.

Enter a Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 4), Circuit Descriptor number (from step 3), and the Interconnect Number.
Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.

Select the appropriate Protocol Variant, Bus Type, Point-to-Multipoint, Manual TEI (if required) and TEI value.

of Charge form ("T" interface only) (optional)
Select ETSI, Italy, Holland, Spain, or France.

Define bearer capabilities on
either Fixed or Call by Call basis.
If you choose Fixed, you need to specify bearer capability for
voice and data. Voice: Speech (default) or 3.1 kHz. Data: UDI
(default), RDI, UDI (7 kHz), Video.
High
Layer Compatibility form ("T" interface only)
You can define High Layer Compatibility on a Fixed or Call by Call basis.

Line ID Restriction form ("T" interface only)
You can define Calling Line ID Restriction (CLIR) on a fixed or per-call basis.

Ranges for CPN Substitution form ("T" interface
only)
Enter a DID number or a range of DID numbers assigned in the system. Then enter the corresponding CPN substitution number that will be delivered for that range.

Substitution form ("T" interface only)
The outgoing CPN feature delivers the calling party's DID number to the network. Rather than sending the actual directory number, you may want to send a substitute or default CPN value. You can define CPN substitution for an individual DID number or range of DID numbers.
(Optional) ISDN
Outgoing Numbers form (Euro ISDN Standard trunk variants only)
This form allows you to select the outgoing numbering plans for Euro ISDN Standard trunk variants. To meet the specific ISDN requirements of a European region, you can select the Calling Number and Called Number parameters.
